The challenges of migration exist globally in every state. This comprises of movements of people from their origin country to another foreign country. Various causes can make people move from their country to the next. The movements may be due to war or avoiding trial and anticipation of an attack and many others. But others may move from their country willingly to an alien nation in search of an improved way of living.Even Though movements may be crucial, sometimes it may be a source of many unforeseen challenges. Immigration can be seen as an act of courage when looking it from a different perspective. Immigration can both be advantageous and disadvantageous to the host country and the origin country.In most cases, the host countries are developed and industrialized. Thus a high number of immigrants prefer to migrate to these countries.
Some of the ways they benefit from having immigrants are as stated below.The Immigrants can do the jobs that the host citizens will never do or cannot do. The resultant of this is high revenues. Besides, immigrants will work more hours, and their pay is lower than a citizen would demand hence benefiting the country economy.
When made to feel at home in the host country, these immigrants can add value to the society as they bring different cultures which bring about cohesion and understanding. There will be strong relationships between nations that will be created.Immigrants from a country with better education base can bring great talents which if natured will improve the host country’s economy.
However, there are also adverse effects of this immigration especially to the host country. challenges may be adverse if immigration is uncontrolled.
One of the challenges may be deteriorated security which may be brought by having different people from different countries and cultural practices. The high unemployment and crime rates may be the cause of this.
Immigrants may also bring foreign diseases if not well controlled. Thus, this call for people to be regularly checked for diseases and verified to avoid further spreading. Hence, a need to have diseases scanning points where people can be checked.
Population in both countries is affected due to immigration. Therefore, the resultant of this can be a hazard to the economies of both countries. An increased population is a threat to a country as it can lead to a rise of refugee camps which pose a threat to the environment.
There may be brain drain as a result of moving to other countries. The search for better places to work can make people move to foreign countries leaving theirs less of talents which can be a danger to the economy.
